ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
Public Rights Project (PRP) is a national nonprofit organization that helps local government officials fight for civil rights. We build their capacity to protect and advance civil rights, convene and connect them on key issues, and provide legal representation to help them win in court for residents. Since 2017, PRP has been working at the intersection of community organizing and state and local government enforcement to build a scalable, equitable community-based enforcement model to protect civil rights and advance economic justice. We support progressive state and local governments, including Attorneys General, District Attorneys, and City Attorneys' Offices as well as Tribal Governments with legal strategy, research, fellowships, and community partnerships to help offices develop high-impact legal cases. JOB SUMMARY:
Public Rights Project seeks to hire a Fellowships Coordinator to join our team! This full-time position will support the smooth operation of all fellowship programs within our Affirmative Leadership Pathway. The Fellowships Coordinator will play a key role in managing logistics, recruitment, program communications, online learning support, and data tracking. This role reports to the Senior Program Manager, Learning & Fellowships and works closely with the Operations Manager, Civil Rights Hub.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are the core components of the scope of work:
- Support smooth execution of all fellowship programs, including virtual session logistics, tech support, and participant communications.
- Lead recruitment processes with senior staff support, including outreach, application design, tracking, application review process, and applicant communications.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding, and ensure fellows receive timely access to platforms, materials, schedules, and orientation resources.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for fellows, responding to logistical and administrative questions.
- Maintain accurate program materials and resources across PRP U, Zoom, Salesforce, Form Assembly, and internal drives, and upload/update learning content and templates.
- Manage PRP U fellowship communities by responding to questions, updating content, posting prompts, sharing reminders, and supporting active engagement.
- Track attendance, participation, engagement, applications, and other key metrics; collect and analyze surveys, success stories, and exit interview insights for reporting and evaluation.
- Coordinate communications and logistics with faculty and guest presenters, including scheduling, materials, and session needs.
- Plan and execute virtual, hybrid, and in-person events, and manage related logistics such as scheduling, RSVPs, travel, accommodations, venues, and materials.
- Provide first-line platform and communications support, including PRP U user management, resolving technical issues, and deploying messages through Campaign Monitor and Salesforce as needed.
- Serve as project manager by drafting project charters, building timelines, managing Asana tasks, maintaining calendars, and coordinating with Communications, Legal, Development, and Marketing teams to support programming.
- Manage speaker and vendor contracts and media release contracts.
- Process invoices and manage expenses.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree and four (4) to six (6) years of relevant work experience. May substitute three (3) years of related experience for the degree requirement.
- Experience working with cohorts of fellows and/or learners.
- Preferred: experience administering learning management systems.

- Demonstrated passion for DEI work, issues and needs, including centering the voices of those who have been historically oppressed, and an understanding of the need to dismantle structural racism and bias.
